This past week has been hazardous, and I don't mean to me an my personal life, but to the whole world. Typhoons in the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia, earthquakes in the Somalia and Indonesia; looking in a certain point of view you'd see that Mother Nature is fight back.
Hundreds died and thousands became homeless in the Philippines because of the typhoon known locally as Ondoy. The storm hit the country last Saturday, September 26, 2009. Metro Manila and nearby provinces and towns were flooded. People strive to save their possessions, properties and loved ones. Sometime later, the same disaster was seen at Vietnam and Cambodia. And then, days later, destruction fell upon Somalia and Indonesia as an earthquake shook the earth and ocean leaving rubble and corpses.
My friends, more disaster will come in many forms, that I know (and I quite know that you know that as well). But now, we have to ask ourselves is human kind prepared for the next one? We can never assure that. So, in the meantime, why don't we help those who survive and prepare for the next calamity the will come. Little things can do so much. We have all the time, money and technologies to help, so why not? Support a reliable charity group on Facebook, donate spare change to Red Cross, Bantay Bata or other humanitarian orgs' donation jar, have your prepare an emergency kit, save a portion of your allowance for a rainy day, or just plainly reduce-reuse-recycle... every little bit counts.
Do your little part today, so you won't feel sorry tomorrow!
Kudos guys; take care of yourselves and each other!
